    Department Saturday, December 1, 2018, in downtown Huntsville at Rather Park for Winter in the ParkChildren's activities will begin at 10 a.m. and finish up at 5 p.m. Enjoy Hot Cocoa, Letters to Santa, Christmas Crafts, Face Painting, Balloon Art, Christmas Karaoke, and more. All children's activities are FREE!! After the festivites wrap up downtown, find yourself a comfy and cozy spot along Sam Houston Avenue or 11th Street for the Christmas Parade sponsored by the Huntsville Lions Club.

    If your family tree is missing some branches, then sign up for “Exploring Ancestry.com”, a workshop devoted to teaching the basics of this online family history resource. The workshop will be held from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month through December 2018. Develop the skill sets needed for online genealogical research. Learn how to navigate the different learning centers and databases. Discover family tree members using Ancestry.com tools such as vital, census, military, and immigration records.
